4 to 8 months
Exploring the World through their Senses
Your child is beginning to coo and babble with different sounds. They will enjoy longer tummy time sessions, and may begin to roll and sit on their own. These newfound abilities also means new ways to play! Towards months 7 and 8, your child will also begin to understand a lot more of what you say to them, so remember to keep talking to stimulate language development.
By 8 months, your child should be able to use different grasping methods, like the raking grasp and pincer grasp.
Your child will enjoy taking things out and putting things into containers.
During these months, your child will explore different ways of moving, including rolling, scooting, and crawling.
Your child will be curious about their environment and explore by looking, touching, and mouthing.
